The "Fi" stands for "fluid injection." The pump reservior applies cleaning fluid across the record cleaning surface. The record is automatically rotated across the pads to clean the record surface. To remove the cleaning fluid and debris, the vacuum is turned on as the record is automatically rotated. A slide-out waste tray on the bottom allows easy spent fluid disposal.
